Throughout the installation process of a variety of different types of piping, pipes are cut and then need to have the sharp cutoff ends be beveled prior to any further type of joinery. Previously this job was performed almost exclusively by hand. This tool brings the convenience and speed of cordless power to a time consuming and menial job.
The most minimal form factor was desired for this tool, leading us to a body grip style of tool. To accommodate both inside and outside edge bevels, the tool can be used either upside down or right side up. Special care was taken in the shaping of the grip and placement of bumpers around the cutting head to ensure the user's hand could never slip towards the opening.
